The Fitness Connection is thrilled to kick off the New Year by offering several NEW and exciting classes, as well as, introducing two NEW highly qualified Yoga instructors! Drop in on Monday morning at 10 am starting Jan. 2, to attend Karen McGovern's Chair Stretch Yoga class. Karen has been teaching fitness classes at the Waynesville Recreation Center since 2009. Her chair yoga class is perfect for those who want a gentle but thorough yoga stretch and are not comfortable getting onto the floor. In addition also starting Jan. 2, Karen will offer a mat based flow yoga class at 11 am on Mondays. This class is open to beginners or those with more experience. Both the chair and mat classes will also be offered on Wednesdays beginning in February.
Sara Lewis has more than 10 years of yoga experience and is a 200 hour national Yoga Alliance registered instructor as well as a certified holistic health coach. Beginning Jan. 5 she will offer a Thursday evening Slow Flow class at 5:15 pm. In this class, movement is synchronized with breath. Students will build strength, and increase flexibility and balance. Starting in April Sara will offer this same class Tuesday mornings and will add a Restorative Yin Yoga class.
Kim May, certified in Yoga as well as Personal Fitness Training since 1987 offers a Hatha Yoga class Mon. at 5:15 pm which Karen will be teaching in her absence through Feb. The studio is offering Hydrostatic body composition testing on January 6th from 10am - 4pm for the cost of just $40/person.
A truck will be parked in our parking lot housing a completely private water tank (sanitized and kept at 89-94 degrees), a private changing area and the entire test only takes 5-8 seconds.
The company will return in June for retesting for just $35.
