Hi! I am Lisa Falbo. I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and although I am rather new to the "certified personal trainer" title, I am not new to the fitness world. I am 48 years old and have been active in my own fitness and healthy lifestyle for many years, and have also been encouraging and inspiring others to realize that exercise is NOT HARD.
I started exercising in my living room shortly after the birth of my first child. I had gained more than the average first baby weight, and quickly I realized I would have to be proactive in losing this weight. After the birth of my second child, I already had the advantage of making exercise and healthy eating a "habit" in my life.
Throughout these young years of parenting, I came to realize that I loved being active and really (really) looked forward to that "me" time of exercising. I also realized that I wanted to learn all I could about fitness, aerobic conditioning, healthy habits, strength training and toning my body. So, that's what I did! I learned from experts in these fields and because I had found something I was passionate about, I retained this knowledge. I had people asking me how I did it.... how did I manage to find the time to workout and chase kids? Well, the answer to those questions became my "trademark". I exercised in a very small space (4 x 7ft) for over 20 years. I was raising 2 boys on my own and couldn't do the gym thing. I used minimal equipment, free weights and bands, and used my time very wisely.
So, in other words, I have the answer to any excuse you can come up with for not exercising!
I am originally from the Ohio area but have been in Western North Carolina for over 35 years. I call this home. I have started and maintained two businesses while going for my ACE PT certification. I have wanted to share my knowledge and experience in the fitness world with others for a very long time. I love to see people come to the realization that this exercise thing is "something I can do"! I love to see people get out of that unhealthy rut that tends to "never end" for so many. For some people it is a matter of quality of life whether they chose to exercise; for others it is a matter of quantity of life ordered by their doctor. Whatever brings you to the point of bringing exercise and fitness into your lifestyle, I would be honored to be a part of that chapter of your life.
