Pilates is designed for improving the strength of all the muscles that make up the core (front and back of the torso). It was created to benefit prima ballerinas in New York City by Joseph Pilates over 60 years ago.
The theory behind this technique for exercise is this, "if the core is sound and strong, than the limbs can move with effortless ease and grace." Having a strong torso is crucial for everyone in our day to day lives and therefore this program is of tremendous value.
An initial 1.5 hour private session and two additional 1 hour private lessons to assess your needs and create or improve your personal practice.

Core strength, meditative or restorative yoga or core strength Pilates focused on proper alignment, breathing and sequencing.
You will receive a written customized practice to continue on your own, with private lessons or join a class.

This class offers Hatha Yoga and Pilates to enhance mental focus, increased circulation, flexibility, muscle endurance and strength, as well as balance.
Working with mindfulness and breathing techniques the student experiences postures linked together to create a gentle flow of movement.
